Ayla Granados, representing the HOKA ONE ONE Aggies, won the women's open 6-kilometer race in 20:35.6 at the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational at Baylands Park in Sunnyvale, Calif. Granados, an assistant coach at Notre Dame de Namur and former Chico State standout, was competing at the meet for the first time since placing 12th in the invitational 6-kilometer race in 20:43.4 in 2015. Granados' best time at Baylands Park remains 20:30.9 from her fifth-place invitational finish in 2014.
